A very GREAT and BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY ! I really ENJOYED it !

THIS MOVIE REALLY GOOD BOY

When Lenas ancestor brought back her lover that died from the dead she used forbidden magic. When she brought him back she lost her soul and became evil. I am guessing she was 16 when she lost her soul and what she did was so forbidden that it was passed down through her bloodline. Any girl born after her that loved a mortal was doomed to the same fate until lena's uncle broke the curse. The only way for the curse to be broken was for someone she loved to die. If it had been ethan she would had done the spell to resurrect him and automatically been claimed for the dark. I hope that helps.

She is both. She is the balance between the two sides. That is why she said that the new world is neither good nor evil. That is also why when Ethan calls her name only one of her eyes glows (the dark one)

3/5 I did like the movie but... I thought they could have been a little more informative about the magical world and where they even came from. I have never read the books so some of it just seemed untold. I would like to see a sequel and I hope they delve deeper into the caster world and history.

ffs, no one said that it's anyone's "fault". The comments simply point out the obvious, that the sound on this makes it basically unwatchable, which is a fact no matter whose "fault" it is.

I was really excited about this film and when I saw it at the movies I thought it was good! But later when I thought about it a bit more it was like naa... I don't really hate it and I absolutly don't love it. But there was just so many things that they left out from the books! But a good watch if you don't have anything to do. I'm looking forward to see if the next one is better.

Well put together more intelligent than Twiglet by far. better actors better direction better story wont be as popular , because as usual the peasants are revolting ( and numerous) but i do hope to see more !!.

I love this movie even though the book was way better. The books are always better and I'm tired people saying its not great. It was more than great it was awesome. And the reason the ending went off the way it did its because it leaving room for the sequel. Hopefully there is one. Because I think the sequel is going to be more better. And Alice Englert was the perfect Lena and Alden Elhernic was the perfect ethan I am actually in love with, goodbye Edward Cullen, Hello Ethan Wate. Also Emmy Rossum is always great as always. She stole the show even though she should have been in more scenes which she was in the book. But it's cool. Great Movie. Cross your fingers for a sequel.
